Daily Gifs Club: Makeover

Starting on 3/11 Day 2016, I changed the process for how I did my Daily Gifs at My Daily Gifs Club. It's a subtle change. I'm now making all the gifs 'in-house' (on my phone) and they are way lower-res, which hopefully will do three things: (1) keep the site loading faster, (2) allow me to post as many images in each gif (I was limiting it to exactly 6 pictures before this) and (3) better encompass the moments represented in these photos in terms of my relationship to them (memory is foggy, not necessarily HD, etc etc). Anyway, all basically minor things but part of a larger thing where I am attempting to streamline my creative process. Gifs will debut on my Tumblr because, well, that seems like something to do. Membership to the Daily Gif Club will, of course, remain free of charge.

I've really been adding to the songlist with these Snapchat Story songs! Snapchat has become my new exclusive home for bad a cappella ditties + drawing on my own face. I love it.

Every once in awhile, I stumble across xgau's site and I shouldn't be shocked at how horrendous his weird poem-take music reviews are, but––nonetheless––I am, nearly all the time. This Ween take is especially nonsensical and odd.

A purchased a few URLs yesterday for the BB$ (bargain basement price) of 99¢ for the year. Among them was this beauty: www.d-a-d.space (not active just yet). Why, who knew that "dot space" was even a real web suffix? I'm loving it!

AFC + NFC Championship Game Picks

As you can see by this (winning) teaser bet, I liked Denver +3.5 and the Under, as well as Carolina -3.5 and the Over. All four picks hit! I shouldn't have / didn't need to do the tease!

(SIDEBAR: Yes, I didn't post this before the games. Correct, that doesn't matter because no one reads this blog anyway. Carry on)

My annual, always thrilling, Super Bowl props post WILL be out most likely Saturday night before SB50, so check back for that. It's super popular in the world inside my head. (See last season's here)

As far as the games today, I am extremely happy Denver took down New England. I thought they had a very good shot going in, more than most people did. They had only let up more than 20 points one time over their last 8 games. Their D is legit excellent.

In the second game, my heart was with AZ but I loved the Panthers as the pick.

Denver-Carolina feels like a weird one, but there's a "changing of the guard" angle that is kinda neat, and––most importantly––no Pats :-)

You could have teased all four divisional NFL games in either direction and won

If you follow this blog closely––and really, why wouldn't you?––you saw I posted a winning 4-game teaser before this past weekend's game. The thing about it, though, is this: you could have teased any of the 8 teams and you would've won. On top of that, you could have teased the over-under in either direction and also won in every game except Seahawks @ Carolina. This is pretty geeky sports betting stuff, but I thought it was worth noting. I found this cool image on the left my googling "NFL teaser." FYI. In other news, I do plan on posting bets and more sports things in general on this blog, so watch out!

Sunday NFL Playoff bets

Yesterday was pretty bad. Went 0-3-1. Today I like:

Seahawks (-5) over MINNESOTA [+ under 39.5]
Packers (+1) over WASHINGTON [+ over 46]

After a very good regular season, I have little faith in my picks in general this Wildcard Weekend. That said, I really have no clue what might happen in Minnesota this afternoon. Good luck betting that one. My best bet is the Pack +1. I don't trust this Washington team, who didn't beat a single team above .500 all season. I'll take my chances with Aaron Rodgers.

Saturday NFL Playoff bets

I like:

HOUSTON (+3) over Chiefs [+ over 39.5]
Steelers (-2) over CINCINNATI [+ over 45.5]

The Texans +3 is an even money bet right now at SB, but I also think the ML at +145 is good value. Of all the home team underdogs, I give them the best shot to win outright.

I vowed to go vegetarian for January but on Jan the Second, I totally forgot and ate some chicken salad my wife made. It's not a bid deal, though. I just moved on with my life.
