From 2015-2025, I did movie reviews in both written and podcast form. This project went through various iterations and names over the decade before ultimately landing on the extremely original moniker, THE MOVIE REVIEW SHOW. That site houses close to 2,500 critiques ranging in quality from 'pure shit' & 'totally embarrassing' to 'not bad' & 'hey this is actually pretty good!' For almost exactly ten years (from The Theory of Everything on 03.27.15 to Psychomagic, a Healing Art on 04.01.25), I consistently posted reviews of films new and old, classic and cult, foreign and domestic, stupid and smart. By 2024, I cultivated a schedule that had me logging close to 100 movies each month. It simply became too unwieldy and ambitious, a massive time-suck with negative R.O.I. in just about every which way, but — most importantly — it also came to feel like a chore. So I pulled the plug.
I will not, however, stop watching films at an insane clip. And my proclivity for completionism, list-making and ranking things is simply too strong to ignore. So, please see the below embedded document, ordered by director, with every movie I have ever reviewed / will review. This is the best (and simplest) solution for what I finally — many months, if not years too late — recognized as a problem.
