The above (and transcribed below) is my mission statement for starting to meditate. I am following free weekly email instructions via this website. I wonder how good I will be at meditating. It's a game like sports, right?
MEDITATION MISSION STATEMENT I am motivated to start meditating because I want to defeat stress and learn how to control negative emotions. I find that these things are very ‘chicken-and-the-egg’ and they lead to behavior that is not beneficial to my health and overall well-being. Behavior I want to correct includes: occasional binge-eating and binge-drinking, slight panic attacks and the incessant unconscious picking of my cuticles.
